What is lacking? – Meeteen 2011

On Friday 18th November 2011, adolescents, together with the Archbishop, will inaugurate the Christ the King celebrations, during a meeting entitled ‘Meeteen’ which will take place at the Inspire complex in Marsascala between 6.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. This year, the theme of this activity is “What is lacking?”; this should help adolescents to focus upon questions concerning their faith.

CHRIST THE KING CELEBRATIONS

Next Sunday a Diocesan celebration will be organized on the occasion of the liturgical feast of Christ the King.  The theme for this year is “Sharing the joy of our faith with others” .  Fr Charles Cordina, the Pastoral Secretary, said that “this theme is based upon the topic of evangelization since the Archbishop has expressed the desire that the Pastoral Plan for the Church in Malta for the forthcoming three years should reflect the way in which the Church intends to re-kindle the hearts of those who have put their faith aside, in order that they may once again rediscover the beauty of Christian life”.  … Read more »

22 OBLATES TO BE BEATIFIED IN MADRID

Oblates

Twenty-two Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate will be beatified in Madrid this December. They lost their lives in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War.

The Oblates carried out their ministry as chaplains to three communities of nuns and collaborated in the neighborhood parishes.

155 PEOPLE GRADUATE FROM THE PASTORAL FORMATION INSTITUTE

The Institute of Pastoral Formation of the Church in Malta has recently organized the annual graduation ceremony for 155 students who have successfully completed nine different courses held throughout the recent academic year. This ceremony was presided over by the Archbishop, Paul Cremona OP and was held at the Archbishop’s Seminary on Tuesday 8th November.  The courses were the following:

  • General Education Award in Evangelisation (MQC level 4)
  • A Short Introduction to the Liturgy (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Catholic Social Teaching (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Natural Family Planning (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Christian Leadership II (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Christian Leadership III (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Theology (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Adolescent and Youth Ministry (MQC level 5)
  • Higher Education Award in Catholic Religious Education (MQC level 7)
