Missio Malta is the branch of the Maltese Islands of the Pontifical Mission Societies and is the official aid agency for the mission of the Pope and the Catholic Church, which continues the mission of Jesus Christ in the world. Missio works with missionaries and communities to support, give life and dignity, while calling all the people of the world to faith, justice and love. Missio works with communities overseas to bring the hope of the Gospel, and spiritual and material needs to some of the most inhospitable, poor and insecure areas in the world. Missio, through other Pontifical Mission Societies, reaches more than 160 countries and supports projects in 1,100 dioceses in five continents. All of them together answer the call to love God and love their neighbour, work to serve people in need regardless of race, religion or status, act for justice, and support development programmes and projects. To provide for the different needs in vulnerable communities, Missio works on four main areas: The Society for the Propagation of the Faith, The Society of St. Peter the Apostle, The Holy Childhood Association and The Missionary Union of Priests and Religious.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
