  • Social Cases of children under Care Order who can be enrolled in the same church school as other children living in the same house (2i).
  • Siblings Living Together: Have the same parents or legal guardians, live in the same house, and are part of the same family. One would need to upload the birth certificates of the siblings and the ID cards of both parents.
  • Siblings Not Living Together: Have the same parents / custodians but who do not live in the same house. To be considered a sibling under this criterion, they must spend at least 20 hours per week together. • Half-Siblings or Shared Custody: Share one parent / custodian and spend at least 20 hours per week together. One must submit the relevant documents and a notarised declaration under oath made by the people who have the care and custody of the children, stating how many hours the children live together in the same home.
  • Children Raised Together by Same Adults: Not necessarily biologically related but live in the same house and are being raised together by the same adults who are taking joint responsibility for their upbringing. This requires a legally recognised official declaration (affidavit) from the adults explaining the situation. The Admissions Board will decide if the reason is acceptable.
  • Children who are adopted or in foster care and are living with a family that has other children attending a church school. A certificate from the competent agency / authority confirming that the child is adopted by or placed in foster care with the family, must be submitted.

Applications for these criteria must be submitted in November/December, along with the required documents as specified in the regulations.

Applicants falling under Criteria 1a to 1d will be enrolled in the school indicated on their application, subject to availability. They will receive an email with a registration link, which they must reply to, in order to confirm their place.

If they wish, they may also choose to participate in the general ballot without reapplying, by notifying the Admissions Office via the same registration link.

Applicants from Schools without Continuity (1f) and Employees in another school or Employees of the Secretariat of the for Catholic Education (1g) take part in the Choice of School Ballot as explained in the Regulations. Criterion 1ġ is applicable for levels of Form 1, Year 1, and Kindergarten 2 for girls.

Being a child of an unmarried mother, whose parents are separated, who is adopted or fostered only, does not qualify the applicant to fall under this category. It is important to note that they should not require the help of an LSE or any type of educational psychological support, as these cases are not eligible to apply under the Social Cases category, they need to submit their application under the “Serious Case” category.

Application dates and the link to apply will be provided in the Admissions Regulations. Only one application may be submitted per child.

After applying, Criteria 3 applicants will participate in the ballots, during which a rank order will be established. The ballots are live streamed on www.church.mt , and results are published on the website in the following days.

For Kinder 2 (boys) and Kinder 1: There is only one ballot, since Criterion 1f (children from church schools without continuity) and Criterion 1ġ (children of employees in another school) are not applicable at this level, therefore no participation ballot is held.
