Two seminarians, who are currently in their fifth year of studies at the Archbishop’s Seminary, will ask Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna to accept them officially as candidates for the Ordination to the Diaconate and the Priesthood. This celebration will be held on Monday, 1st November 2021, during All Saints Day Mass at St John’s Co‑Cathedral, Valletta, at 6:30 p.m.

Malcolm Saliba from the Parish of the Assumption of Our Lady, Ħ’Attard, and Karl Andrew Schembri from the Parish of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Mellieħa, will publicly manifest their will to offer themselves to the Church to serve in the ministerial priesthood.

Whilst accepting their offering with joy, the Archbishop will call on the candidates to ensure that during the remaining years prior to their ordination, they will prepare themselves to worthily receive Holy Orders.

The Christian community is asked to pray for these two new candidates for the priesthood.
