Luke 20, 27-40

Some Sadducees — those who argue that there is no resurrection — approached him and they put this question to him, ‘Master, Moses prescribed for us, if a man’s married brother dies childless, the man must marry the widow to raise up children for his brother. Episcopal Insigna of Mgr Charles J.Scicluna

Iċ-Ċurkett li se jingħata fl-Ordinazzjoni Episkopali huwa rigal mill-Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta. Fl-antik iċ-ċurkett kien jingħata: b’sinjal ta’ ġieħ, biex jimmarka d-dokumenti uffiċċjali u b’sinjal tal-għerusija tal-Isqof mad-djoċesi tiegħu. Il-formula liturġika li tintuża llum jesprimi l-fedeltà tal-Isqof lejn il-Knisja, l-għarusa ta’ Kristu.

Il-Mitra se tingħata bħala rigal minn komunità ta’ sorijiet li tagħhom Mons. Scicluna kien kappillan f’Ruma… Read more »

As he drew near and came in sight of the city he shed tears over it and said, ‘If you too had only recognised on this day the way to peace! But in fact it is hidden from your eyes! Yes, a time is coming when your enemies will raise fortifications all round you, when they will encircle you and hem you in on every side; they will dash you and the children inside your walls to the ground; they will leave not one stone standing on another within you, because you did not recognise the moment of your visitation.’
