The Church celebrates the feast of Christ the King

Il-Ħadd 25 ta’ Novembru 2012 saret iċ-ċelebrazzjoni Djoċesana ta’ Kristu Re, li kienet ippreseduta mill-Arċisqof Pawlu Cremona O.P, fil-pjazza maġenb il-Knisja Parrokkjali ta’ Ħal Balzan, fl-4p.m.  L-Isqof Awżiljarju, Mons. Charles J. Scicluna, kien preżenti wkoll għal din iċ-ċelebrazzjoni flimkien ukoll mal-Isqof – Emeritus Ġużeppi Mercieca.

‘Make my House a Home’ Campaign

The Theology Students Association, in collaboration with RTK Radio, is organising a Christmas campaign on campus in aid of charity – Make my House a Home Campaign – on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th December.

For the eleventh year running, proceeds from this campaign will go to the Preventive Care Unit within the Archbishop’s Curia. This programme supports families with financial problems by providing groceries, clothing and in some cases, parental skills… Read more »

Pope celebrating mass with new Cardinals

Pope Benedict celebrated Mass in St Peter’s Basilica Sunday morning to mark the final Sunday of the liturgical year – the solemnity of Christ the King. Concelebrating with the Pope were the six new cardinals who received their red hats at the consistory on Saturday.
In his homily the Pope told the new cardinals they had the demanding responsibility of making God’s Kingdom known in the world – not a kingdom of political power obtained through weapons and violence, but a kingdom of truth, love and service… Read more »

In St. Peter’s Basilica Saturday, Benedict XVI celebrated an ordinary public consistory for the creation of six new cardinals: James Michael Harvey, Bechara Boutros Rai O.M.M., Baselios Cleemis Thottunkal, John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan, Ruben Salazar Gomez and Luis Antonio G. Tagle.
