GHAZLIET

GĦAŻLIET on Education 22 on Tuesday 4th October 2011 at 1.30pm with a repeat at 6pm and 11pm and on Saturday at 10.15am.

On Sunday 25th September, 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. celebrated Mass at Nigret in Rabat as part of his pastoral visit, and afterwards met people living in the area.

RABAT PASTORAL VISIT OPENING MASS

On Saturday 24th September 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. began his Pastoral Visit to the Parish of Rabat by celebrating Mass and afterwards meeting people.

On Sunday 25th September the Archbishop met members of Civil Society of Rabat.

CHURCH LEADS REFLECTION ON WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HAPPY

This Sunday marks the annual Day for Life in Ireland, with the theme “A call to solidarity and hope in difficult times.”

The event this year is reflecting on “what it means to lead a full and happy life,” a statement from the bishops explained.

The theme springs from Benedict XVI’s visit last year to England, when he said, “Happiness is something we all want, but one of the great tragedies in this world is that so many people never find it, because they look in the wrong places… Read more »

Church welcomes back young people

The Church in Malta officially welcomed back young people from their summer experiences with ‘World Café’ – an event held yesterday evening, Tuesday 27th September, at Savio College, Dingli. Over 130 paticipants gathered around specially-arranged coffee tables to share their personal stories from voluntary service, missionary work and the World Youth Day pilgrimage during summer.

CARITAS MALTA RAISES €49,400

Caritas Malta has to date raised €49,400 through the fund-raising television programme broadcast on Sunday 25th September 2011.  The funds will go towards the services which Caritas Malta offers free of charge to the Maltese public.

A spokesperson for Caritas Malta said today that the organisation thanks the people of Malta for responding generously to its appeal to support the various programmes and services offered free of charge to persons in difficulty… Read more »

“A RENEWING EXPERIENCE” – THE 2011 DIOCESAN ASSEMBLY

Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. presided over the Diocesan Assembly of the Church in Malta on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September. This was held at the CAK Centre in Birkirkara.

This annual meeting brings together all the entities of the Church in Malta – the members of the Presbyteral Council and the Diocesan Pastoral Council, the Archbishop’s delegates of Secretariats and Diocesan Commissions, the provincials of religious orders, parish priests, heads of Church schools, leaders of groups and movements of the Church, and various other persons who offer their pastoral services… Read more »
