Archbishop Zygmunt Zimowski
The deaths each year of more than a million people from AIDS, the suffering of their families and the new infections of hundreds of thousands of infants are unacceptable when the medicines needed to prevent them exist, a Vatican official said. On Thursday 1st December 2011, the people of Malta paid their last respects to Mgr Annetto Depasquale, Titular Bishop of Aradi, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Malta. Mass was held at St. John’s CoCathedral, Valletta and was led by Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. The death of Bishop Annetto Depasquale has been announced. He was the Auxiliary Bishop and Titular Bishop of Aradi. Bishop Depasquale who hailed from Hal Qormi was 73 years old and died at 3.45 p.m.

Familiaris Consortio
The Pontifical Council for the Family will mark the anniversary of its creation at its plenary assembly next week, which coincides also with the 30th anniversary of “Familiaris Consortio.”
At a press conference, the Tuesday through Thursday conference was presented by the officials of that Vatican dicastery.
