L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Jaqsam il-wirt miegħi” (Lq 12:13). L-Evanġelju tal-lum jibda mal-ewwel  b’xi ħaġa li aħna nafu kemm kultant iġġib konflitti u disgwid fil-familji – il-wirt. U speċjalment meta jkun hemm nuqqas ta’ qbil, u allura jkun hemm kwestjonijiet sħaħ fuq il-wirt li kultant idumu snin u, minħabba f’hekk, anke l-aħwa ma jitkellmux jew, fil-familja stess, ikollok nuqqas ta’ ftehim li jdum għal ħafna żmien… Read more »

Mass on World Mission Day

18/10/2026   The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Waħda mill-affarijiet li l-aktar tolqtok f’dan ir-rakkont huwa kif ġew ikellmu lil Ġesù grupp mill-Fariżej u mill-Erodjani (ara Mt 22:15-16). Għalina, meta nisimgħu b’dawn it-tnejn, ngħidu: żewġ gruppi differenti. Imma li tolqtok huwa li dawn kienu jaħsbuha ħafna differenti – l-Erodjani kienu favur il-ħakma tal-Imperu Ruman, u l-Fariżej kienu pjuttost kontra ta’ dan, u riedu jmexxu ’l quddiem il-Liġi ta’ Mose… Read more »

18/10/2026   St Peter's Square, the Vatican

Dear brothers and sisters, happy Sunday!

Mass on the 100th World Mission Day

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Kellhom raġun il-Fariżej li lill-Imgħallem jgħidulu: “Nafu li int raġel li tħobb is-sewwa, u li t-triq ta’ Alla tgħallimha kif tassew hi, bla ma tħabbel rasek minn ħadd, għax int lejn wiċċ ħadd ma tħares” (Mt 22:16). Fost il-ħafna affarijiet li qalulu, fosthom xi tgħajjira ’l hawn u ’l hemm, almenu din id-darba, meta qalulu min jaħsbu li kien, qallu kliem ta’ sewwa… Read more »
