The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Nisel ħażin” (Lq 11:29). Dil-kelma li jgħid Ġesù hija kelma qawwija. Mhuwiex soltu li Ġesù jitkellem hekk fuq in-nies. Imma f’dal-każ, ried iwassal dan il-messaġġ lil nies li talbu minnu sinjal. Issa forsi aħna ngħidu: dawn xi xtaqu b’sinjal? Riedu xi ħaġa spettakolari, li tagħmel il-ħoss, li tgħaġġibhom, u jgħidu: ara dan veru, allura, huwa bin Alla! Imma, fil-fatt, Ġesù kien jaf li inutli… Read more »

Always a positive experience – Bishop Galea-Curmi

The Parish Church of the Risen Christ, Pembroke

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Għamel festa għat-tieġ ta’ ibnu” (Mt 22:2). Fil-parabbola li qal Ġesù, l-ewwel ħaġa li tolqotna hija kif iqabbel is-saltna ta’ Alla ma’ xi ħaġa mill-isbaħ – ma’ festa, u festa ta’ tieġ. Aħna meta naħsbu f’festa ta’ tieġ f’ċirkustanzi normali, fejn ma jkunx hemm xi disgwid fil-familja, naħsbu f’xi ħaġa sabiħa, ċelebrazzjoni li tgħaqqad flimkien diversi nies. U Ġesù, biex ifiehem x’jiġifieri s-saltna ta’ Alla, iqabbilha ma’ festa ta’ tieġ… Read more »

Always do good – Bishop Galea‑Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Tagħmel il-ġid u taqlagħha fuq wiċċek”. Ġieli smajna min jgħid din l-espressjoni, u forsi anke aħna stess għednieha. Nilmentaw għax ma tistenniex li meta tagħmel il-ġid, issib il-kuntrarju. Imma proprju dan hu li naraw fl-Evanġelju llum, u mhux biss f’din iċ-ċirkustanza imma anke f’mumenti oħra: li Ġesù, li dejjem fittex li jagħmel il-ġid, sab kontinwament oppożizzjoni kbira.

Ħa nħarsu ftit lejn Ġesù… Read more »
