PUBLIC HOLIDAYS ARE DAYS OF REST

Il-Kummissjoni Pastorali fid-Dinja tax-Xogħol, f’laqgħa li kellha, wriet id-dispjaċir tagħha għad-deċiżjoni li ttieħdet dan l-aħħar, li stabbilimenti kummerċjali ngħataw permess li jiftħu f’festi pubbliċi li jaħbtu l-Ħadd. Il-Kummissjoni dejjem sostniet li l-Ħadd huwa Jum il-Mulej, Jum ta’ mistrieħ, Jum tal-familja u Jum soċjali. Għal ħafna ħaddiema, dawn il-festi pubbliċi se jsiru ġranet ta’ xogħol li jkun ifisser anqas mistrieħ u ħin għalihom.

Il-Kummissjoni taf li s-soċjetà Maltija qegħda tinbidel, imma l-valuri, il-kultura, id-drawwiet u t-twemmin tagħna l-Maltin għandna ngħozzuhom u mhux nbiegħuhom… Read more »
