Meta xi wħud semgħu kliemu qalu: “Tassew dan hu l-Profeta.” Oħrajn qalu: “Dan hu l-Messija.” Iżda xi wħud qalu: “Mela l-Messija għandu jiġi mill-Galilija? Ma tgħidx l-Iskrittura li l-Messija għandu jiġi min-nisel ta’ David u minn Betlehem, ir-raħal minn fejn kien David?” Hekk in-nies ma qablux bejniethom minħabba fih. Xi wħud minnhom riedu jaqbduh, iżda ħadd ma medd idejh fuqu… Read more »

Ta’ kull sena l-ġenituri ta’ Ġesù kienu jmorru Ġerusalemm għall-festa ta’ l-Għid. Meta kellu tnax-il sena telgħu wkoll, skond id-drawwa ta’ dik il-festa. Wara li għaddew dawk il-ġranet qabdu t-triq lura, imma t-tfajjel Ġesù baqa’ Ġerusalemm bla ma kienu jafu l-ġenituri tiegħu. Huma ħasbuh qiegħed ma’ xi wħud li kienu fit-triq magħhom; iżda meta wara jum mixi fittxewh fost qrabathom u n-nies li kienu jafuhom, ma sabuhx, u għalhekk reġgħu lura Ġerusalemm ifittxuh… Read more »

Gwanni 5,30-47

Kieku jien kelli nagħti xhieda fuqi nnifsi, ix-xhieda tiegħi ma kinitx tkun minnha. Hemm ħaddieħor li jagħti xhieda fuqi, u jiena naf li x-xhieda li jagħti fuqi hu hi minnha. Intom bgħattu tistaqsu lil Ġwanni, u hu ta xhieda għall-verità. Mhux għax jien għandi bżonn ix-xhieda ta’ bniedem, imma qiegħed ngħidilkom dan għas-salvazzjoni tagħkom. Għax dak kien musbieħ jixgħel u jiddi, u intom, għal ftit, ridtu tifirħu bid-dawl tiegħu… Read more »

Ġwanni 5,17-29

Imma Ġesù qalilhom: “Missieri għadu jaħdem sa issa; mela naħdem jien ukoll.” U minħabba f’hekk il-Lhud wisq iżjed minn qabel bdew ifittxu li joqtluh, mhux biss għax kien jikser is-Sibt, imma wkoll għax lil Alla kien jgħidlu Missieru u jqis ruħu daqs Alla. Ġesù qabad u qalilhom: “Tassew tassew ngħidilkom li l-Iben ebda ħaġa ma jista’ jagħmel minn rajh jekk ma jarax lil Missieru jagħmilha; għax il-ħwejjeġ li jagħmel il-Missier, jagħmilhom l-Iben ukoll, bħalu… Read more »
