Reflections for Lent – 18th February 2010

Kelma tal-Ħajja

Jalla l-Kelma tiegħek, Mulej,

tħeġġiġna nishru fuq din l-art,

l-art li rċevejna mingħandek stess.

Jalla din l-art tagħmel ħafna frott

u toffri ambjent sabiħ u armonjuż

fejn it-tfal ta’ għada

jkunu jistgħu jgawdu

l-ward u x-xewk

tal-ħajja ferrieħa tagħhom.

Jalla l-Kelma tiegħek, Mulej,

issejħilna nqassmu l-imħabba tiegħek

lil sħabna fuq din l-art

sabiex huma jkunu jistgħu

jduquha u jiggustawha

bħala ikel bnin u abbundanti

li jaqta’ l-ġuħ u l-għatx

li huma għandhom

għall-hena bla tmiem… Read more »

Reflections for Lent – 17th February 2010

L-Erbgħa ta’ l-Irmied:

Issa li għamilna s-sinjal tas-salib bl-irmied, Mulej,

se nieħdu d-deċiżjoni quddiem kulħadd

li nitilqu u nibdew

il-mixja tal-konverżjoni!

Erbgħin jum m’humiex biżżejjed

għax irridu ż-żmien

biex niffurmaw il-qalb u n-natura

skond l-ispirtu tal-vanġelu!

Se nitilqu, għal darb’oħra,

konxji tad-dgħjufijiet tagħna,

imma moħħna mistrieħ

mill-appoġġ tiegħek,

b’fehma soda

li naddattaw l-imġieba

u d-deċiżjonijiet tagħna

għall-imħabba li int xettilt fina

u li issa qed titlobna niżirgħu fl-umanità… Read more »
