On Sunday 30th June 2013, Archbishop Paul Cremona attended 2X2, the start-to-summer event at SKY Club, Paceville. The evening featured live performances by six local Christian bands as well as the annual gathering of the summer volunteers. This year, over 500 young people are spending their summer holidays in voluntary work, in Malta and other countries around the world. The program was presented by Frank Zammit and the concert was headlined by Ablaze, The Pilgrimage, Footprints, Temple, Connections, Y4J Band and a special performance by the World Youth Day Singers. Exclusive mocktails were served at the bar, specially-prepared by a team of students from the Institute of Tourism Studies. Proceeds from the event went to the SCE Children’s Fund, recently set up to support educational needs of underprivileged children within church schools. 2X2 was organized by the commission for young people within the church (KDZ) with the support of Sky Club, Pure Media, Chai Bubbles, The AV Warehouse.
