Mgr Prof. Hector Scerri, President of the Diocesan Ecumenical Commission, and member of the International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, took part in the latest encounter of the Coordination Committee of the same Commission. The meeting took place in the Benedictine Archabbey of Pannonhalma in Hungary between 15 and 19 June 2026. The subject of the Dialogue was the Infallibility of the Pope in the context of the Infallibility of the Church.
The Holy See delegation was led by Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, while Metropolitan Job of Pisidia led the delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
