L‑Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta ser tlaqqa’ l‑Assemblea Djoċesana bejn għada l‑Ħamis 21 u l‑Ġimgħa 22 ta’ Novembru 2019. L‑Assemblea ser tkun ippreseduta mill‑Arċisqof Charles J. Scicluna u ser tiltaqa’ fis‑Sala taċ‑Ċentru Animazzjoni u Komunikazzjoni (ĊAK) f’Birkirkara.

Matul din l‑Assemblea ser jiġi ppreżentat il‑working document tal‑Pjan Pastorali għall‑Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta għas‑snin 2020‑2023. Il‑preżentazzjoni ser issir mid‑Delegat Episkopali għall‑Evanġelizzazzjoni Dr Nadia Delicata.

Cottonera’s open spaces and historic environment under threat

The Church Environment Commission (KA) declares that the application for the extension of the American University of Malta (AUM) is not only harmful to the wellbeing and quality of life of the residents of Cottonera, and harmful to the historic environment, but also runs counter to the planning framework of the Grand Harbour Local Plan. The Policy GP07 of the Grand Harbour Local Plan requires that:

B’kollox ser ikun hemm 1,528 post vakanti għall‑istudenti. L‑applikazzjonijiet jistgħu jsiru online jew f’xi wħud mill‑iskejjel tal‑Knisja kif indikat fir‑regolamenti. L‑applikazzjonijiet tal‑ewwel kriterju jsiru f’Novembru 2019, l‑applikanti l‑oħra jsiru f’Jannar u Frar tal‑2020.

Ir-riforma dwar it-traffikar uman u l-prostituzzjoni

The Archdiocese of Malta, through the Justice & Peace Commission of and Caritas Malta, have participated in the presentation of a joint submission to the Maltese Government, on the proposed reform for the legalisation of prostitution and human trafficking.

The joint submission, endorsed by several organisations, speaks of three main goals that are complementary and cannot be enacted separately, essential for the human dignity of the victims to be safeguarded.

To decriminalise those who are prostituted ‑ Conscious of the fact that most sex workers are caught up in prostitution against their will and are the main victims of a broken system which enslaves them. They should not be criminalised or victimised further for the abuse they endure…
