Thousands of people have witnessed the Pope’s beatification of 19th Century theologian Cardinal John Henry Newman, as his UK state visit was in its final stage.

FIRST PROFESSION OF BROTHER CARMEL SPITERI AMONG THE TERESIAN CARMELITES
16/09/2010Carmel is a late vocation. Born at Floriana forty eight years on. He married, lived for 23 long years in the UK working with the Postal Services, and returned to Malta for good after losing his wife to cancer.

EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS: 26 SEPTEMBER
16/09/2010The Holy See will once again participate in the celebration of European Heritage Days, an initiative of the Council of Europe in which more than 50 countries on the continent take part. The celebrations this year will take place on Sunday 26 September and have as their theme: “European Heritage for Inter-cultural Dialogue”.
