POPE CONDEMNS ATTACKS ON CHRISTIANS

€668,127 IN AID OF ID-DAR TAL-PROVIDENZA

€668,127 were raised during the New Year’s Open Day and fundraising marathon organised by RTK for Id-Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi. This was the highest sum ever collected in the past fifteen annual editions. Notwithstanding the rain, huge crowds filled the big tent in the parking lot of the Home. The Director, Fr Martin Micallef, thanked all those hundreds of volunteers that took part in the organisation of the Open Day, but most of all the Maltese people who once again showered id-Dar tal-Providenza with solidarity and generosity… Read more »

HOLY FATHER RECEIVES ‘PUERI CANTORI’

Thursday in the Vatican, Benedict XVI received participants in an international congress of the International Federation of “Pueri Cantores”, currently being held in Rome.

VATICAN DECISION TO ATTEND DURBAN II OPENS NEW RIFT WITH JEWS

Pope Benedict’s decision to send a Vatican delegation to a United Nations conference on racism has opened a new rift in relations with Jewish groups, which say it is being used as a platform to attack Israel.
