Wara l-laqgħa bejn l-Isqfijiet ta’ Malta u Għawdex u l-Awtoritajiet tas-Saħħa, il-Knisja b’konsultazzjoni mal-istess awtoritajiet qed tippubblika direttivi dwar il-Quddiesa tal-funeral li jidħlu fis-seħħ mil-lum, il-Ġimgħa 22 ta’ Mejju. Dawn id-direttivi jistabbilixxu l-miżuri li qed jittieħdu bil-għan li titħares is-saħħa tal-persuni li jattendu għall-Quddiesa u fl-istess waqt tingħata tislima xierqa lill-għeżież tagħna.

The Interdiocesan Environment Commission (KA) feels that now that our country is eagerly looking forward to a time of normality as the COVID-19 pandemic gradually subsides, it would be foolish to go back to our old ways as if nothing happened – as if we have learnt nothing from this experience. The KA believes we need to reinforce the self-discipline we have shown throughout the pandemic, so that all of us would be able to weather any similar experience in the future.

Celebrating Mass on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyla, the future St John Paul II, Pope Francis described his predecessor as a man of prayer, closeness, and justice.

Pope Francis celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of St John Paul II by offering Holy Mass at the altar where the Polish Pope is buried in St Peter’s Basilica.
