Life Network Foundation expresses concern at the fact that in the last few hours, a foreign organisation called “Abortion Support Network” has started to advertise services in Malta relative to financial support to women who would like an abortion overseas.
It seems that through its website, this organisation claims to offer advice to Maltese women in order for them to receive financial assistance in travelling for an abortion or to somehow procure “safe but illegal early medical abortion pills”.
Through these actions, this foreign organisation is demonstrating that it cares neither for mothers nor for the lives of their children. It is also clear that these so-called services are rather poor and limited in the sense that they only look to finance the abortion procedure and not to provide aftercare for both the physical and psychological repercussions of abortion.
Life Network Foundation express shock at the statement of sharing “abortion-fund love” this Valentine ’s Day when in fact, abortion creates victims both of the mother and the child who loses his or her life.
Life Network Foundation uses its funding to empower women by supporting them throughout their pregnancy to make the best choices for themselves and their child; be it raising the child or passing the child on to a family who will love them. We also continue to support these women after birth through counselling sessions, financial support and even the possibility of shelter. We believe that this is truly a loving gift which women deserve to receive on Valentine’s Day.
To those women who possibly had little or no support and chose abortion, we offer a true Valentine’s Day gift and this would be a post-abortion healing programme, because every life matters to us and the lives of the women are just as precious to us as the lives that have been lost.
Life Network Foundation appeals to the authorities concerned to conduct the necessary investigations in order to ensure that the laws of Malta are not violated and as a result, the vulnerable lives of those who seek abortion as well as of the ultimate victims of abortion, would be saved.
Life Network Foundation encourages all those who having an unplanned pregnancy or faced with negative diagnosis to contact Life Line Malta on +356 2033 0023, or chat 24/7 on the website: lifelinemalta.eu.
