Applications for ‘Other Applicants’ for admission to Church schools in Malta and Gozo for the scholastic year commencing in September 2026 will be accepted online from Wednesday 28th January till Wednesday 4th February and from Wednesday 11th till Wednesday 18th February 2026. There is a total of 799 vacant places for students (722 in Malta and 77 in Gozo). Applications for asylum seekers will be accepted in March. A total of 25 places across all levels are available for asylum seekers.

Details on the number of places filled with applications received on ‘Criteria One’ that the Secretariat for Catholic Education processed last November and December can be found on www.church.mt.

The Church schools’ admission process in Malta determines admission to the first year and second year of kindergarten, the first year of primary and the first year of secondary. The following table gives a breakdown of vacant places in Church Schools in Malta. Malta applications will be accepted at church.mt/applications.
