Archbishop Charles Scicluna said at a Vatican press conference on Wednesday evening that he was returning to Malta with a “renewed commitment” to place the family at the centre of the Church’s pastoral mission, describing Amoris Laetitia as a “fresh document which needs to be rediscovered” ten years after its publication.

The Archbishop meets with and listens to separated people

Archbishop Charles Scicluna met with a number of separated persons at a meeting organised by the Office for Pastoral Care of Separated Persons within the Archdiocese of Malta.

Pope Leo has calm night in hospital after successful lung surgery

“The night passed calmly for the Pope. Further information will be provided later today,” the Holy See Press Office said on Wednesday, the morning after Pope Leo underwent a successful lung operation with no complications.

Pope Leo XIV underwent surgery at Gemelli Hospital, during which doctors removed the lower lobe of his right lung.
