L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

L-Evanġelju tal-lum ilaqqagħna ma’ persunaġġ li jintroduċina għall-miġja fil-qrib ta’ Ġesù. Ġwanni huwa dak li mibgħut qabel il-Mulej. Fil-fatt, wieħed mit-titli ta’ Ġwanni huwa l-Prekursur: dak li jiġi qabel il-Mulej.

  Saint John Lateran, Rome

Dear brothers and sisters!

All of us, as the Apostle Paul would say, hold the treasure of life in earthen vessels (cf. 2 Cor 4:7). The International Day of Persons with Disabilities invites us to recognize that our frailty in no way obscures “the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ”, but instead reveals that “its extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us” ( 2 Cor 4:4,7)… Read more »

The Second Sunday of Advent – Peace

Peace.

Where would we go to find peace? Perhaps some would say the countryside, a gym session, hiking to the top of a mountain, playing a sport, watching television after a long day, going for a swim in the early hours of the morning, listening to music.

Whatever situation you are in as you are reading this, I invite you to take a few minutes and try this exercise.

Take yourself to whatever comes to your mind as we are mentioning ‘peace’… Read more »
