Trust in God which will bear fruit in every season – Bishop Galea-Curmi

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

Hemm minjiera ta’ tagħlim f’din is-silta mill-Evanġelju skont San Mark. Għall-bidu taħseb li Ġesù qam b’burdata ħażina, waħda wara l-oħra! Imma meta tara fil-fond din is-silta, li qiegħda wara d-daħla messjanika ta’ Ġesù f’Ġerusalemm, u issa li qed joqrob dejjem aktar lejn il-passjoni u l-mewt tiegħu, tara din it-tifsira kbira.

Speċjalment kif hemm ġo xulxin il-ġrajja ta’ Ġesù u s-siġra tat-tin – din il-ġrajja qiegħda maqsuma fi tnejn – u f’nofsha hemm il-ġrajja ta’ Ġesù fit-tempju… Read more »

In those days, Jesus and his disciples came to Jerusalem again. Who gave you this authority to do them?” Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. Did the baptism of John come from heaven, or was it of human origin? … Read more »

Looking with compassion – The Archbishop

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Kemm hi għajta sabiħa din ta’ bin Timew, Bartimew tfisser l-istess ħaġa: iben Timew. “Ġesù Bin David, ikollok ħniena minni” (Mk10:47).

Ta’ min nirrepetuha ħafna drabi din it-talba li ħierġa mill-qalb ta’ dan l-għama biex il-Mulej jagħtina s-sens li naraw d-dinja, ’il ħutna, ’il persuni u s-sitwazzjonjiet kif jarahom hu. Aħna ħafna drabi għamjin jew b’xi preġudizzju jew minħabba r-rabja jew l-għira, ma narawx kif jara Ġesù… Read more »
