Mass on the 206th anniversary from the founding of the Malta Police Force

  St John's CoCathedral, Valletta

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Ippermettuli napplika l-kliem ta’ Ġesù lill-appostli għall-membri tal-Korp, ovvjament mhux għall-kummissarju biss, imma għall-membri kollha.

Ġesù jħares lejn l-appostli tiegħu, jifhem li ’l quddiem se jkollhom ibatu ħafna. Fil-fatt, parti kbira mill-Evanġelju li qrajna mill-kapitlu 10 ta’ San Mattew jitkellem fuq il-kuntest ta’ persekuzzjoni. Matul iż-żminijiet il-Knisja għaddiet minn dawn il-mumenti koroh tad-dlam. Parti mid-destin tagħha hu li tilqa’ wkoll ir-rifjut ta’ min ma jridx jaċċetta l-istedina tal-Mulej… Read more »

Witnesses of Jesus until the last drop of blood – The Archbishop

Mass offered for us that we may welcome foreigners, as we are thus welcoming Jesus

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at The Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Ġesù jagħti missjoni straordinarja lill-appostli tiegħu u permezz tagħhom jagħtiha lid-dixxipli kollha tiegħu. Hu jibgħathom ixandru s-saltna tas-smewwiet, ifejqu, iqajmu mill-mewt, ikeċċu x-xjaten, ifejqu l-lebbrużi. Jagħtihom qawwa straordinarja ta’ fejqan.

Imma wkoll javżahom li m’għandhomx jibbażaw il-fiduċja tagħhom fuq il-flus jew il-poter tad-dinja imma jgħallimhom ukoll li “l-ħaddiem ħaqqu ħobżu”. Huma se jingħataw għas-saltna u l-Mulej se jipprovdilhom permezz tal-komunitajiet li jilqgħuhom… Read more »
