On Thursday 8th October, over 200 young volunteers met Archbishop Paul Cremona OP during an activity organised by Gi.Fra. Floriana (Gioventu Francescana) and commissioned by the Diocesan Commission for Youth (KDZ). This activity was held at the Magazino, Valletta Waterfront with the participation of the Hon. Clyde Puli. This event formed part of the activities organised by the Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport during National youth week.

The theme for this event followed that presented by Pope Benedict XVI for World Youth Day 2009 ‘Our hope is in the living God.’ (1 Tim 4:10.) Young people who were involved in voluntary work, in Malta and abroad, during the past months hared their experiences with those present. Bishop Paul Cremona OP addressed the volunteers and referred to them as the best ambassadors for both Church and state. He praised them for their hard work and encouraged them to sustain a spirit of solidarity and service throughout the year. Mgr. Paul Cremona OP, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Hon. Clyde Puli and the Archbishop’s Delegate for Youth, Fr. Savio Vella sdb presented a memento to each youth group present at this gathering.
