• Christmas is a time of feasting, of sharing gifts and moments with friends, family and loved ones. It’s a blessing to be able to enjoy all the goodies this season brings but what about other members of our human family who cannot celebrate Christmas this way? Many are poor, displaced, sick or disabled in some way.

This Christmas, Aid to the Church in Need (Malta) is inviting families in Malta and Gozo to share their Christmas meal with Christian families who lost everything when they fled their homes in Syria to escape from Islamic State terrorists.

Thankfully, God’s love defies distance and is not bound by geographical limits. So you do not have to physically invite them to your home.

Simply set a symbolic extra place at your Christmas table and donate whatever you plan to spend per person on your Christmas meal, either at home or in a restaurant.

Of the 11.8 million displaced persons in Syria, there are 127,185 Christian refugee families and one million war orphans. To help these families and children withstand the hardship caused by the war and to strengthen their faith is our core priority.

With your help, this Christmas ACN is providing refugee families with essential provisions including food baskets containing rice, canned meat, cooking oil, wheat and other essentials.

ACN has also proposed to help at least 16,000 children from all over Syria with Christmas parcels containing food, sweets, warm clothes, few sweets, shoes, toys.

Your gifts will make the families and children very happy and will remind them they are not forgotten by Maltese and Gozitan Christians and other Christians in the world especially at Christmas.

Share your love and prosperity with these families – give them a Christmas gift they’ll never forget!

To donate, please send a cheque made out to ACN (Malta) in an envelope marked “Share your Christmas meal” by regular post to the following address: ACN Malta, 39b, Mdina Road, Attard, ATD9038 Malta.
