Between the 10th and the 13th January 2011, parish priests together with the Archbishop and his delegates, participated in a three-day ‘live-in’, held at the Archbishop’s Seminary.  The theme chosen for this year was Jesus’s exhortation to his disciples: “Be as one”.  For this reason, discussions centered around their union with God, with the Church, among themselves, as well as between them and the laity.  Besides discussions, talks and a sharing of experiences on the chosen topic, they also had the opportunity to live and pray together.  It was also an occasion for them to get away for a few days from the usual routine of parish life.  On Wednesday, journalists were invited to lunch with the parish priests. This helped journalists to come to know more about their role in the parish, within an informal setting.  The Parish Priests all felt that this experience has served them well and will assist them to be of better service to the people of God who have been entrusted to their care.
