Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Norman Zammit as the new parish priest of Imsida and Fr Ewkarist Zammit as the new parish priest of Dingli.

Fr Zammit was born on 3rd August 1973. He received his education at Zurrieq Primary School, at St Michael’s Secondary School and Mount Carmel College, both in Santa Venera. He continued his tertiary education within the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta.

Fr Norman Zammit was ordained priest on 3rd August, 2001. He started his pastoral work as assistant parish priest in Luqa for six years. In  July 2006 he was appointed parish priest of Dingli where he served for the last five years. As part of his pastoral work, he was also a spiritual director for various schools.

The Parish of Imsida, which is dedicated to St Joseph, was established in 1867 and is made up of around 8,500 parishioners gathered in 2,500 families.

Another appointment by Archbishop Paul Cremona is that of Fr Ewkarist Zammit who has been nominated Parish Priest of Dingli.

Fr Ewkarist Zammit was born on 23rd July, 1980. He received his education at Saint Augustin College. He continued his tertiary education within the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta where he completed his Master in Pastoral Studies in 2009. Fr Ewkarist Zammit was ordained priest on 3rd July, 2008. He started his pastoral work as assistant parish priest of Hal Qormi where he  served for the last two years.

The Parish of Dingli, which is dedicated to the Assumption of Our Lady, was established in 1678 and is made up of around 3,500 parishioners gathered in 1,060 families.
