On Wednesday 20th April 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. led the National Via Crucis which was organized by RTK Radio, in conjunction with the Pastoral Secretariat of the Church in Malta.  This was held on the occasion of Pope John Paul II’s beatification and his ties with Malta.  This event took place in the environs of Mdina bastions and began at 8.00pm.  The Via Crucis started next to St Mark’s Church in Rabat, continued through the streets of Mdina and ended in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral.  On the occasion of the beatification of Pope John Paul II, the text which was read was written by Pope himself.  The activity was aired live on Radio RTK (103FM Stereo).
