On Saturday, 18th March 2023, Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna will be celebrating a thanksgiving Mass at 9:30am at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, on the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ election as Pope.
Pope Francis was elected on the 13th March 2013 and officially began his pastoral ministry as Bishop of Rome and head of the Universal Church on the 19th March 2013, on the Solemnity of St Joseph.
Everyone is invited to participate in this celebration and to thank God for this great gift of His to His Church, and for the great works Pope Francis has carried out throughout these years. Priests who will not be engaged in pastoral work at that time are invited to concelebrate during this Mass. Religious congregations, groups and movements are also encouraged to attend.
Let us pray to God to give Pope Francis the strength and help he needs to continue carrying out his mission with dedication and generosity.
