Following the Christmas sermon on 24th December 2021

Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna will lead a number of liturgical celebrations at Christmastime which are open to the public. The first of these will be on Christmas Eve.

On Saturday 24 December, the Archbishop presides over the First Vespers at 5:15 p.m. and then celebrates the Vigil Mass at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta. At 11:00 p.m., the Office of Readings and Christmas carol singing will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral, Mdina. At midnight, the Archbishop celebrates Midnight Mass. The broadcast on TVM, Church.mt, Newsbook.com.mt and on radio station 103 starts at 11:30 p.m. with the Christmas sermon which this year will be delivered by a girl.

On Sunday 25 December, the Archbishop will celebrate Christmas Day Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina. This will be broadcast on TVM, Church.mt, Newsbook.com.mt and on radio station 103.

On Saturday 31 December, the Archbishop will celebrate a thanksgiving Mass at 5:45 p.m. at St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, for the year that is drawing to a close. At the end of the celebration, the Te Deum will be sung and the Sacramental Blessing given.

On Sunday 1 January 2023, at 9:30 a.m., the Archbishop will celebrate Mass on New Year’s Day at Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi. It will be broadcast on TVM, Church.mt,  Newsbook.com.mt and on radio station 103.
