Missio Malta is participating in this year’s edition of the Valletta Green Festival which is taking place at St George’s Square, Valletta, between the 2nd and 7th May.

Visitors of the event that promotes a lifestyle closer to nature, will be able to visit the Missio stand, where they will be given sunflower seeds, for a donation.

“This typically Mediterranean flower is renowned for its bright yellow colour and is known to prefer to face the sun. In the same way, through its work, Missio helps thousands of people in faraway countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America on a daily basis, so they too can turn to face the light, and hope for a better future,” said Robert Farrugia, Head of Communications and Fund Raising, Missio Malta.

Collected funds will go in favour of an agricultural project in Tanzania, which is expected to help in the generation of food for a number of families.

The Valletta Green Festival is organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency.
