On Tuesday 7th February 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P., presented Mgr Prospero Grech O.S.A. the episcopal ring as a gift from the the Archdiocese of Malta. The ring will be used during Mgr Grech’s episcopal ordination on Wednesday 8th February. The ring was designed by Joseph Galea and the gold work was entrusted to Vanni Bartolo. The ring shows St Paul holding a cross, with a viper leaping from a bonfire after the saint was shipwrecked in Malta. The ring represents the seal of faith and love between a bishop and the Church, like spouses in marriage.
