Lately, several people have been questioning whether couples who are unmarried and who cohabit are able to receive Holy Communion.

We wish to affirm that everybody – these couples included – is welcome in the Church, who shall continue to offer all the spiritual support that is necessary. Pope’s visit and World Youth Day preparations

All the activities in relation to the Pope’s visit came to a close with a thanksgiving mass which was celebrated at Saint Sebastian’s Crypt, Qormi. Many volunteers were present to see the closing of this memorable experience. CATHOLIC BIBLE SEARCH ENGINE LAUNCHED

A new online Catholic Bible search engine, which enables people to find specific Scripture passages using keywords, was launched last week. The program was officially released to the public on May 13 by Catholic.net. The press release noted that this is the first complete Catholic Bible made available for keyword search.

PENTECOST VIGIL DIOCESAN CELEBRATION

The Church in Malta extends its invitation to all Christians to come together for a diocesan celebration, on the eve of Pentecost, next Saturday, 22nd May, 2010, in the square opposite the Gharghur Parish Church. The Pontifical Council for the Laity will begin its 24th plenary assembly Thursday, dedicating the three-day meeting to consider “Witnesses to Christ in the Political Community.”
