POPE TO PRAY FOR CATHOLIC UNIVERSITIES

Benedict XVI will be praying in October for Catholic universities, particularly that they might become places where people find a faith-reason unity.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for October. His general prayer intention is: “That Catholic universities may increasingly become places where, in light of the Gospel, people may experience the unity of faith and reason.”

Citizens of the United States might be among the most religious of the developed world, but when it comes to knowing about religions, U.S. atheists score higher than U.S. Christians. This is one of the results shown by a survey from the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life, which was released Tuesday.

The Catholic broadcasting company Radio Maria continues to grow worldwide, now present in 54 nations with 65 new broadcasting stations in various languages.

Recently, the Catholic chain has been welcomed in Switzerland, Slovakia and Ukraine.

MALTA BIBLE SOCIETY ORGANIZES COURSES AND SEMINARS

The Malta Bible Society is organising 8 new Bible Courses and a One Day Seminar between October and December 2010.  The aim of these courses is to help in the better understanding of the Bible and its message.
