Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Ivan Scicluna as the new archpriest of Senglea.
Fr Ivan Scicluna was born in Tal-Pietá on 24th March, 1970. He received his education at St Giovanna Antida Primary School, the Junior Lyceum in tal-Handaq and Gan Frangisk Abela School in Msida. On Thursday 19th January 2012 an Ecumenical Service was organised at St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral, Valletta. This prayer service was led by the Chancellor of St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral, Canon Simon Godfrey. Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. delivered a reflection on this year’s theme, “We will all be changed by the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 15:51-58).

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of his Episcopal Ordination, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will be celebrating a Thanksgiving Mass at St. John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, on Sunday 22nd January 2012, at 5:30 p.m. Priests are invited to concelebrate and everyone is invited to attend.
On Wednesday 25th January, the Archbishop will be celebrating his 66th birthday. Mgr Cremona was born in 1946… Read more »
Costa Concordia
Search and rescue efforts are still under way as 21 passengers from the Costa Concordia cruise ship remain unaccounted for, after the giant vessel hit rock and began sinking Friday off the Tuscan island of Giglio, Italy.

On Monday 16th January 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met the Family and Leading Couples Commission of St Joseph the Worker Parish in Birkirkara. Later on, the Archbishop met the Evangelisation Commission of the parish, the Youth and Adolescent Commission and the youth of the same parish.

Week of Prayer 2012
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins today 18 January, under the theme “We will all be changed by the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ”.
