March for Life in Washington
Tens of thousands of pro-lifers marched to the American Supreme Court yesterday to mark the 39th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalised abortion throughout the United States. The “March for Life” has been held every year since 1974, a year after the landmark Supreme Court ruling. Homophobia is a dangerous sign of arrogance. No one should be threatened for her or his sexual orientation. The violent incident of last week is primarily an attack on the dignity of the victims and their families. The young people within the Church are shocked by the bullying actions of the offenders. Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Ivan Scicluna as the new archpriest of Senglea.
Fr Ivan Scicluna was born in Tal-Pietá on 24th March, 1970. He received his education at St Giovanna Antida Primary School, the Junior Lyceum in tal-Handaq and Gan Frangisk Abela School in Msida.
