BENEDICT XVI PRAYS FOR TERMINALLY ILL

Pope Praying

Benedict XVI will be praying in October that the dying will find support in the love of their brothers and sisters.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for the upcoming month.

His general intention is for the terminally ill: “That the terminally ill may be supported by their faith in God and the love of their brothers and sisters.”

His mission intention is: “That the celebration of World Mission Day may foster in the People of God a passion for evangelization with the willingness to support the missions with prayer and economic aid for the poorest Churches.”

On Saturday 24th September 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. began his Pastoral Visit to the Parish of Rabat by celebrating Mass and afterwards meeting people.

On Sunday 25th September the Archbishop met members of Civil Society of Rabat.

CHURCH LEADS REFLECTION ON WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HAPPY

This Sunday marks the annual Day for Life in Ireland, with the theme “A call to solidarity and hope in difficult times.”

The event this year is reflecting on “what it means to lead a full and happy life,” a statement from the bishops explained.

Church welcomes back young people

The Church in Malta officially welcomed back young people from their summer experiences with ‘World Café’ – an event held yesterday evening, Tuesday 27th September, at Savio College, Dingli. Over 130 paticipants gathered around specially-arranged coffee tables to share their personal stories from voluntary service, missionary work and the World Youth Day pilgrimage during summer.
