Emilia Romagna earthquake effect

The Holy See Press Office announced that on Tuesday 26 June Benedict XVI will visit areas in the Italian region of Emilia Romagna recently affected by an earthquake. Wednesday June 27 – young volunteers will give a start to their summer experiences with a celebration at St Gregory’s Medieval Chapel in Żejtun. Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will symbolically give his mandate to the young people, on behalf of the Church in Malta.

The Gozo Diocese presented a cheque of €20,000 to Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza.  The sum was collected during the RTK4Charity Open Day that is organized annually at the Home in Siggiewi on New Year’s Day by RTK radio.
