Pope to Europe: Open the Doors of your Heart

  • On the eve of the one year anniversary of a devastating shipwreck, Pope Francis has called on the men and women of Europe to ‘open the doors of their hearts’ and welcome migrants who risk their lives at sea to flee war and poverty.

Pope Francis asks for prayers for the Synod on the family

Communicating the family – the theme chosen for World Communications Day 2015

    • The Pontifical Council for Social Communications published a note today explaining the theme of World Communications Day 2015: “Communicating the family: a privileged place of encounter with the gift of love”. The theme follows in continuity with the previous year’s message, and dovetails with the central theme of the next two Synods on the family.

Pope Francis holds audience with the President of Malta
