Pope at Audience: For Strong Families, Put Away Cell Phone, Shut Off TV

  • Spending time interacting within the family is important, and therefore, togetherness shouldn’t be replaced by having phones out and televisions blasting.

    Pope Francis stressed this during his weekly General Audience in St. Peter’s Square today, as he continued his catechesis on the family. Last week, he looked at the importance of the family as the place where we learn the value of forgiveness, and this week, he considered the importance of togetherness.

We, the undersigned NGOs, urge states participating in the Valletta Summit on Migration to act decisively and urgently so that people will no longer die in their desperate search for protection in Europe. Since October 2013, at least 6,892 men, women and children have perished in the Mediterranean attempting to reach Europe. Three Seminarians to be instituted in the Acolyte Ministry

  • Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna will be instituting three seminarians in the Acolyte Ministry during a celebration at the parish church of Saint Philip of Agira, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, on Friday 13th November 2015. Mass starts at 6:30 p.m.

Pope in Prato: Combat cancer of corruption
