Dan l-aħħar ġiet imwaqqfa’ s-Soċjetà Patristika Maltija biex ikunu apprezzati dejjem aktar il-kitbiet u l-ħajjiet tal-Missirijiet tal-Knisja. Dawn kienu persunaġġi kbar li għexu bejn l-ewwel u t-tmien seklu tal-istorja tal-Knisja – nies bħal San Ċiprijanu, Sant’Ambroġ, Santu Wistin, San Bażilju l-Kbir, il-Papa San Ljun il-Kbir, San Ġwann Griżostmu u l-Papa San Girgor il-Kbir.
