Nuns open restaurant offering free food in London – named ‘Nundos’

  • An order of nuns has opened a restaurant in East London offering free food, named “Nundos”.

    Sisters from the Daughters of Divine Charity opened the temporary – or “pop-up” – restaurant in Shoreditch on Tuesday offering “food for the soul”, such as chicken soup and lentil broth, free of charge.

“Peace an urgent task in world of war and conflict” – Pope Francis

  • Peace remains an urgent task in today’s world, where so many peoples are scarred by war and conflict, Pope Francis said on Wednesday in a meeting with the World Conference of Religions for Peace.

Pope Francis deplores Mogadishu terror attack

  • Pope Francis has condemned the terrorist attack that killed over 300 people, including children, in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Maltese children to join a million others in praying for peace and unity

A million children around the world will pray the Rosary on Wednesday 18 October 2017

  • Once again the international Pontifical charity foundation, Aid to Church in Need (ACN), is inviting all Maltese children to join children from all over the world in this Rosary initiative, happening this Wednesday, 18th october, at 9:00 a.m.

    Last year children from 69 countries participated including 9,000 boys and girls from Malta and Gozo.

    This year 2017 we are celebrating 100 years since Our Lady Queen of the Rosary appeared to three children – Lucia, Francisco and Giacinta – at Fatima asking them to continue to pray through the Rosary for unity and peace in the world. Therefore we should teach our children and encourage them to say the Rosary for Peace, which the world needs so much…
