Fondazzjoni Sebħ organises ‘SEBĦ Bazaar 2024’

Fondazzjoni Sebħ is organising its first bazaar which will be held at their premises in Ħamrun, on the 28th, 29th and 30th June 2024. The public is invited to support the organisation that assists with educational, residential and aftercare services.

Volunteers have generously donated several items including handicrafts, clothes, furniture and more that will be available for purchase through this collective initiative.

Fondazzjoni Sebħ has coordinated this event to raise awareness and funds and encourage the community to support a cause that fosters a sense of safety and value for children and families… Read more »

CCEE inaugurates new headquarters in Rome

Ceremony of new candidates at the MUSEUM branch in Cuba

On Friday 22nd June 2024, Yojansys Rojo Gonzalez received the Ceremony of Candidates in the SDC Centre of Sagua la Grande, Cuba.

Yojansys is a doctor by profession and works as an anesthetist at the Sagua la Grande Hospital. He began participating in the SDC in 2018.

Archbishop Charles Scicluna left Malta for Belgrade, Serbia, to participate in the Plenary Assembly of the Council of European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE). Watch: Malta Church’s Safeguarding Commission concluded 26 cases in 2023

The Safeguarding Commission concluded 26 cases in 2023, 18 concerning minors and eight involving vulnerable adults, Head of Safeguarding Mark Pellicano said.

Speaking at a news conference to review the year, Mr Pellicano said that four of the 18 cases concerning minors were found to be substantiated.

Pope: ‘Welcome, promote, accompany, and integrate’ refugees

At his weekly General Audience, Pope Francis urges compassion for “all those who are forced to flee their homes in search of peace and security.”

Ahead of the UN’s World Refugee Day, which will be celebrated on the 20th June, Pope Francis has called for called for better treatment for refugees.

Speaking at the end of his weekly General Audience, the Pope called for the World Day to be “an opportunity to turn an attentive and fraternal gaze to all those who are forced to flee their homes in search of peace and security.”
