Chrism Mass

  St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Hu u jaqra l-ktieb ta’ Iżaija, Ġesù jfakkarna li llum qegħdin niċċelebraw l-inizjattiva ta’ Alla. “L-ispirtu ta’ Sidi l-Mulej fuqi, għax il-Mulej ikkonsagrani … bagħatni…” (Iż 61:1). Il-Mulej jagħraf l-inizjattiva tal-Missier u jgħallimna wkoll nilqgħu bil-ferħ u bi gratitudni kbira l-inizjattiva ta’ Alla f’ħajjitna.

Matul iż‑żmien tar‑Randan, żmien li jistedinna nieqfu, nirriflettu u nkunu qrib il‑persuni fil‑bżonn, l‑Arċisqof Charles Scicluna għamel żewġ żjarat pastorali f’Birkirkara, fejn qatta’ ħin mal‑persuni li jibbenefikaw mis‑servizzi ta’ Dar Papa Franġisku, u mas‑saċerdoti anzjani fid‑Dar tal‑Kleru.

Il‑preżenza tiegħu serviet bħala eżempju ħaj tal‑messaġġ ta’ Kristu: li nħobbu, naqdu u nkunu preżenti għal xulxin, speċjalment dawk li jinsabu f’sitwazzjonijiet ta’ vulnerabbiltà… Read more »
