The Volleyball Marathon in aid of id-Dar tal-Providenza begins tomorrow

After an absence of two years due to the pandemic, Dar tal-Providenza this year is bringing back the Volleyball Marathon in aid of the Home. This was announced by Fr Martin Micallef, director of Dar tal-Providenza, during a press briefing during which details of the 12th edition of the Marathon were given.

An official publication commemorating Pope Francis’s Apostolic Journey to Malta through a series of evocative photographs and text has been launched by Archbishop Charles Scicluna.

Hundreds attend Christ the Redeemer procession in Senglea

Archbishop Charles celebrated Mass on the feast of Christ the Redeemer in Senglea on Sunday afternoon. Mass was followed by a procession around the streets of Senglea during which prayers were recited for the country, the Church, and for vocations.

This was the first time the procession behind the statue of Christ the Redeemer was held in Senglea since 2019.

US Bishops welcome Supreme Court decision to end constitutional right to abortion

“This is a historic day in the life of our country,” reads a statement from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, in response to the decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn controversial rulings on abortion that had effectively permitted abortion on demand throughout the country.
