Aħna u niċċelebraw illum, ftit ġranet wara, Jum il‑Ħajja, ma nistgħux ma nfissrux in‑niket kbir tagħna għal dan il‑qtil u nuru s‑solidarjetà sħiħa mal‑familja tal‑vittma… Read more »

The Parish Church of the Risen Christ, Pembroke

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Irridu ngħidu li hi okkażjoni sabiħa ħafna f’din il-parroċċa li wieħed minn uliedha llum qed jiġi ppreżentat mill-komunità u quddiem l-isqof u l-Knisja biex jiġi istitwit lettur: jibda jaqra b’mod uffiċjali l-Kelma t’Alla fil-komunità fil-preparazzjoni tiegħu anke biex ’il quddiem ikun kandidat uffiċjali għall-ordni sagri kif inhu u jirċievi d-djakonat u l-presbiterat. Għażiż Matthew, aħna nitolbu ħafna għalik.

Fl-Evanġelju tal-lum Ġesù jagħtina l-ewwel nett l-identity card tiegħu għax il-barkiet li jagħtina – u dan hu tagħlim sabiħ kemm tal-Papa Franġisku kif ukoll tal-maħbub u mibki Papa Benedittu – fil-barkiet li jagħti l-ewwel nett Ġesù jitkellem fuqu nnifsu għax dak li jitlob minna Ġesù, hu l-ewwel wieħed li jagħmlu… Read more »
