Mr Michael Pace Ross
Michael Pace Ross was born in St. Julian’s on 2 May 1973. He was appointed Administrative Secretary by Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna on 28 May 2015. He is a non-executive Director on APS Bank plc and on Amalgamated Investments SICAV plc. He is also a Board member on the Voluntary Solidarity Fund, a charity which embraces core values inspired by and aligned with the Catholic social teachings on solidarity.
Mr Pace Ross served as Director General at the National Statistics Office for six years, and was appointed to oversee the 2011 Census of Population and Housing. During his tenure, he represented Malta in various European statistical councils and committees, and was a member on the European Statistical Advisory Committee (ESAC). He also served in an ex officio capacity on the Malta Statistics Authority Board and the Retail Price Index Advisory Committee.
In 2019, Mr Pace Ross was invested as Knight of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre by Cardinal Edwin Frederick O’Brien.
Mr Pace Ross is married and resides in Mellieħa.

Administration Office
In 1976, the Maltese Ecclesiastical Province initiated an administrative reform with the aim of centralising and professionally administering the various ecclesiastical entities. In this way, the Church would be in a position to undertake her pastoral responsibilities in a better way. With the assistance of the Holy See, in 1972, a basic document was drawn up to regulate this reform. The document established a Diocesan Representative Council, composed of representatives of the various ecclesiastical entities, their task being to determine the ways in which to administer the properties of the Church, and a Diocesan Financial Committee, composed of a number of financial experts responsible for the technical aspects of the administration.
