Applications are now open for Leaders’ sessions starting in October. The Pastoral Formation Institute, Secretariat for Catecheses, Commission for Young People and the Faculty of Theology have jointly designed two formation courses for youth ministers. The two separate programmes are recognised and accredited by the Malta Qualifications Framework.
The Higher Education Award in Adolescent and Youth Ministry includes 112 hours of taught sessions covering areas from Spirituality to Ethics to Psychology. This is a unique course that helps youth ministers reflect on their mission and share their experiences with others. The language of instruction is Maltese.
The MA in Youth Ministry is a professional programme that helps the candidates to not only accompany young people, but also their leaders. The course responds to new needs in today’s youth ministry in parishes as well as in movements. The course strikes a balance between theoretical discussion and hands-on fieldwork.
The two courses are an investement in the most important resource of the young church – youth ministers. For more details, please contact [email protected]
